Home made hard top ?

Post by The Bird Man » Mon Jul 29, 2013 6:47 pm

Has anyone on here ever attempted to make their own hardtop ? I swear I have seen a picture on here of one but can't for the life of me find it anywhere. How difficult would one be to make lets say out of wood then coat it with body filler and apply several coats of paint. Would that be strong enough if braced properly ? Or am I just being ambitious, haha. Thanks, Eddie.

I've been toying with that idea for a while...using plyboard coated with thin metal...in a fastback design. If I ever get around to it I will certainly post it here!
If it ticks over...leave it
