thanks guys, it is a bit of fun, I have just always wanted to do it, it was either that, or I get a load of transformers logo's and make a mini Iron Hide

And have no fear, these will not be on when driving, thought of a way that means they are only on when the engine is not, need to test the theory though

Got my bits from Dave @ Bits4vits, quick, easy and great price, so now i can remout my front prop and have more than 2 wheel nuts on a wheel :-)

Them be the ones alright, seem chunky enough and for only £1 a pop are cheaper than the ebay lots too

prop spacer was pretty cheap too, 8mm and 10mm holes, bolts, £25, seen them sell used for that on ebay.

eBay just seems to be out of control now price wise, really should stop using it

Re: justaddmud's kja build (code named MK5) SUck on this hil

Post by justaddmud » Sat May 25, 2013 5:56 pm

Todays update in volves a picture only (as i only took the one)

pretty self explanatory, about what is new (but just in case, it is the SU and fanny mould)

Image

all i have to sort is the vacuum for the brake servo

i stripped and rebuilt the SU before fitting and moved the feed for the vacuum advance the other side of the butterfly

need a choke cable and probably a new needle but ticks over smoothly and revs nicely

well time for an update.

just came back from a big building with a peice of white paper and the words Test Certificuit on them.

yup, it has an MOT now :suzuki:  :doublethumbs: :hands: :suzuki:

it did fail on a couple of minor things first time out, but all sorted easily enough

just got to get the SU setup now as it is a bit all over the place and hope that the loss of water i had was from an air lock when i drained the system.

off to get some tax now and go for a drive (if the su will let me) might have to borrow my friends gas analizer and see

happy bunny again, 6 months it has been off the road now

Re: justaddmud's kja build (code named MK5) Now with MOT!!!

Dont even know where wagtail is, letalone know if i can make it there, (it is running really rough)

Did win a couple of better winches for it on ebay though, a couple of external cone brake Superwinch EPI9's and hopefully rick will give me an idea on the price of the lobster he has soon so i can upgrade that too.

still want to see what it drives like with all the suspension mods (i.e. shocks that actually absorb and spring that actually spring) not to mention brakes and tyres
