Spares to carry.

Post by HuwJones » Fri Aug 09, 2013 9:04 pm

I recently broke a point contact on my SJ whilst I was 130 miles from home. Luckily only 30yrds from a Unipart Store!
Luckily they had some in stock, fortunately they had some feeler gauges in stock too. So they where purchased and I managed to get home. After I talked about the break down with some guys in work they asked "Don't you have a spare in the back?" as if it was a common thing to keep spare.
So it got me thinking, what do people keep spare in the back of their SJs? The guys at work said that they carry spare points, dizzy caps and all sort of other things, I only carry a spare spark plug!

There's three ways of doing things,
1) The Right Way,
2) The Wrong Way
3) My Way.
2 & 3 are usually the same.

Some bits of wire and a fan belt/PAS belt. Bulbs. Generally most things that break can be botched to get home.

I presume thats for the landrover as your suzuki is a garage queen and that much shit would never break in one weekend on a Zuk.
