sj410 c reg got spark and engine turns over but it wont start can anyone help thanks
Re: wont start
Squirt a little WD-40 or easy start down the intake, choke on & a little throttle (Not too much that it bogs down) my 410 struggled to start from cold.

Re: wont start
Is it popping and farting at all or is it just turning over?
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Re: wont start
Pour some petrol into your air intake on your carb like a pop bottle cap full works a treat on carb lumpd av fired up no end of cars and bikes buy doing that

Re: wont start
If its got spark at each plug then there's only two other things that it can really be.
A fuel issue, pull the fuel pipe off the carb and turn it over to see if fuel squirts out.
If you have fuel and it still doesn't start then it is probably an timing issue.

All good advice but don't discard the fact that you may have a spark with the plug outside of the cylinders but they may be breaking down when under pressure. I've just had a very embarressing lesson with my sit on mower - it conked out for no obvious reason, I checked the plug for sparking, checked the key which holds the flywheel in place incase the timing was incorrect and removed the cylinder head to inspect the valves - all okay.
Took it to an expert who put a new plug in and away it went - all due to the plug braking down under pressure, and me an ex- aero engine technician!

Have you had the leads off? If yes are they on the right order?
