hello people I fitted my vitara engine in sj410 today to see where the mounts would go but looks lyk engine would sit lower that the std chassie mount any one got any pics thanks

Tim has just done a similar swap. He got a set of 413 mounts cut out of an old chassis and welded them straight in.
I do have a set up for grabs if required.

ahh with the vit engine I got the mounts so would I use them n when I put my engine in, it seems to sit quite a lot lower than the std chassie mount is that right

No. It should sit above the old mounts.

I used all the SJ engine mounts including some of the cast mounts off the block.

Think is sits fairly level. Easiest way would be to sit gearbox on its mount and line it up from there.

If you are going from a 410 to vit then I would cut out your old mounts and weld in the 413 ones, I think an advantage of this is that you won't have to drill out the left mount like you do on the 413, you can just weld it straight in the right place.
