cheers, thought I had the vid right lol

first off I couldn't get the solenoid to release for it to come back down, but I had the wires on the switch the wrong way round, lol

im more than happy with it. worked better than I thought it would, all the design and planning has paid off I think, yea unless you look under it or flick the switch you would never know it tipps.

looks like its not level when its down but just remembered there is 15mm of rubber to be glued under it on the rails so its then right.

thanks
Cheers

Ian. :)

Well chaps, another step has been completed, finsihed the wiring in the engine bay, connected the battery, and we have power.

all the hours spent redoing connections, soldering, checking earths, new earths have paid off.

turned the key, all the brake lights, indicators, reverse, dash, clock, heater, wipers, all works as its ment to, apart from it looks like there is a bulb gone in the dash cluster and behind the heater control.

well chuffed, didnt fancy going back through the loom trying find whats wrong lol.

but any way, all i need now is the temp control thing for the fan and, fit it all and she should run.

Just got to finish all the aux switches wiring in the dash for the fog and roof lights, all the relays are all done in thier own box in the engine bay. wiil get some pics up when i have a chance.

Throughout I would do a tidy job of the steering hose, tried getting the vit part to fit but thought it looked messy, so doing new..

Also got the roof lights wired up, but not on yet as I've got to finish painting the bracket, rear bumper is the same.

Cheers

I've done a bit, I didn't bother for a while cos I couldn't go to wagtail but I'm back at it now. Hopefully she will be rolling under her own steam by the end of the month.
Cheers

:pompom:

Little update.

been really busy in work and at home, so havent had much time on the sj lately, but the power steering is all finished, just needs oil.
all the brackets for the radiator, expantion bottle ect are done, waiting for paint to dry so they can go on and engine bay is finished then.
drivers seat is nearly fitted just need to bolt it in - ran into a problem - knees rubbing steering wheel so new boss and smaller wheel are required along with horn button/switch, i dont really want to drop the seat further, but ive a got a inch between my head and the roof, so ill have to see if a can drop the seat a bit more but that means cutting the seat supports down, will have to have a think about it .

but suppose one main thing is we managed to start it for the first time since i bought it and put it in the garage. sounds good. might need a slight tweak on the timing but pretty much there. just got to buy a gun :P

i shall get pictures for the next update,
