Re: paint time
When I painted my first SJ I bought 6 large tins of Nato matt green (spray). With masking sanding the odd spot etc it took half a day and looked pretty amazing.
If it ticks over...leave it
Re: paint time
Yeah I can understand that if buying one that is standard or lightly modified.
Depends what you're looking for though, mines not exactly standard anymore it's built and designed to be used and abused offroad, covered in dents and is highly modified

Re: paint time
Yeah sometimes I get confused about off roaders and cars. Iv bought myself an off roader by the looks of things so I should probably worry more about how it drives and the condition of its drivetrain.
My mistake with the last one was going for a perfect body finish and then found myself gritting my teeth when the lanes became a bit narrow.

Re: paint time
Found this in b&q might be a laugh to see an SJ painted in it
It's for outdoor wood, stone and metal and will be a tough finish

Re: paint time
Had two mates buy sj's painted in that sh*t, i wouldn't advice it because it catches the dirt and is hard to clean and when you want to paint it again its nearly impossible to get off! i think it was the same stuff anyway...
Re: paint time
Haha. Yeah can imagine.
