What Size Tyres & Wheels Should I Get

Post by Scouse Lee » Thu Sep 26, 2013 3:24 pm

Hi guys, sorry for yet another question,(bloomin' newbies eh). Just bought an SJ413 and at the moment it has 7J 15" rims on with 225/75 tyres and I'm looking to get something bigger for the winter.......the vehicle has a spring over axle conversion & extended shackles although I couldn't tell you how much the lift is in inches I'm afraid, 2 questions, first of all do i have to stick with 7J rims or could I put something else on and secondly what size tyres should I go for.......I was looking at 265/70 15.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Lee

I would go for some 31x10.50r15 tyres as you should have plenty of clearance for them, they will fit on your 15x7 wheels but you could step up to 15x8s with 31x10.50s if you wanted?

Cheers for that Scottie, I'm looking at getting part worns, a) because of the price & b) because they are not gonna be used that much, I'll put my others back on for road use so I'll need some spare rims but not having a great deal of luck finding 7j's atm

Tyres not included

They were originally chrome but have been painted several colours over the years, still black. Think they are Mangels.
