Kiwizook's resto
Re: Kiwizook's resto
Thanks darell, that just about is all I needed to know for now.
have just set the tapet clearance, put on the clutch, without a aligning tool as it was too big to fit the clutch
anyone know the dimensions of the crankshaft pulley bolt?

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Shown as a 12x20 on the parts list and checking the part number.
The bolt is special as regards it has a large flange " ".
I have no idea if it's fine thread, or it's rating.
To be honest if your needing a new one I would get the proper Suzuki bolt
as you don't want to risk any damage to the crankshaft, if say it expands
too much when hot and came loose.

Re: Kiwizook's resto
I checked at the dealer, but they had none in stock in the country, but he said if I had no luck finding one, he would follow it up, so I'll get back to him me thinks. put the pitch gauge on it and I think it is a m12x1.25x20mm long, but am not 100% sure. I lost one, so that's why I need a new one

Re: Kiwizook's resto
ordered the bolt i needed from suzuki, ex japan, so will take a week or so to get here.
put the engine and gearbox on the chassis today, and it looks awesome I think!
just broke two spark plug leads when we were fidling with it, so will have to get some new ones now

Re: Kiwizook's resto
You should get a genuine Suzuki bolt as they need to be cranked up to something like 95ft/lbs, not enough torque and they tend to come loose and trash the crank.
