Re: More problems , to HIGH ?
A Rockwatt manfold and an SU carb would save you a lot of height, and you'll get a much better carb out of that deal.
There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

I'm not sure. It may be because you are keeping it SPI that it is so tall. See what some more of the lads reckon.

Re: More problems , to HIGH ?
Spi is the problem. Like already said you need to go Hif44 on rockwatt manifold and chop the cross bracing off the back of the bonnet to get close. Even with that setup Scottie still has a hole drilled in his bonnet for the top of the SU dash pot.
Sammi bonnet and rockwatt manifold would deffo solve it.
Bout £120 for the manifold mod IIRC and whatever you can find a carb for.

I have a hole in my bonnet for this reason. It's ugly. :(

Also need an electric fuel pump if you swap to a carb.dan_2k_uk wrote:Spi is the problem. What diameter is the top of the throttle body? you may be able to swap to a Samurai injection air filter setup, that doesn't go over the top of the engine as its mounted on the intake side.
