SJ Engine Swap

Post by arfon » Mon Oct 14, 2013 11:02 pm

Engine sounds like a bag of spanners I want to swap It for a vitara 1.6 engine would like to stay with a carb. Do Ineed to look for an 8v carb engine or could I use an 8v injection engine and swap the inlet manifold? Will I need to change the dizzy. Anyone got a good engine for sale? The gear box is shot as well. I have not had much luck with engines from the breakers the engine and box have only lasted 12 months

Any 1.6 8v can be made work on carb. 16v can too but its a lot of messing about.
