Gearbox problems
Gearbox will not go into first gear when running I have to stop then put it into gear any ideas?

1st gear is pretty much for pulling away only. Gear box has a lock out to prevent it going into first if you are going too fast.
They only go into first when almost stationary.

It could be a problem with the syncro mesh in the gearbox.... my last box did that, it's really annoying!

Im with jordi on that one ive tried many of times to drop into first and it wont have it.. I know its not the same gear box but my fathers cavalier one has a similiar thing you cant put it straight into reverse you have to go into first then back into reverse.
