My sister bought a 54 plate new. Slow was one way to describe it.

I had a 53 plate new. It had the G13BB engine, it went alright but did lack grunt compared to a 1.6. Its the downside of squeezing 80bhp out of an old 1.3 by sticking a 1.6 head on it.

I'm not sure exactly what engine it is, but it's the 16 valve.

dont get me wrong they are cool but the sj is way more fun, reliable, economical and generally better off road.
couldn't do half the stuff the sj does on the disco. that said I do have some fond memories mixed in with the constant spanner work lol
