I have a chance to get a solid metal cone type snorkel top for 20 squid.

or I can have a bend in the top facing backwards.

im stuck between the two, what do you guys think?

Cone style precleaner. The engine has a helluva suck and an open bent tube may allow it to suck leaves and twigs in.

Cone top, although I dont have any trouble with mine with the grill in
Sid James gone but never forgotten
Jimny 1.6 not as good as an SJ but still good

South down snorkel top maybe? K n filters allow alot of moisture in the wet.

ok so di I ditch the standard box and go straight to the carb or use the box and have secondary filtration?

backward bend is better, it makes a great noise for one!

or ive got a tractor pre cleaner for my snorkel top running with standard airbox. works a treat.

hmmmm to be fair im usually playing music at full whack in either case so I probably won't be able to hear it. I'll stick with the cone top.
