Just a cone pre cleaner (no filter), standard air box.

Backwards bend and then a mesh of some sort to keep large objects out, or you could make it out of a slightly larger section of tube that slots over it so you can spin it forwards or backwards depending on the weather?

That's what I thought I would do.... but I've never had any reason to turn it round yet!
I bet it gets lots of rain in it facing forwards!
