Think it's down to mixture , I've bought it like this an am jus starting to learn about them

welcome to the club! It does sound like a mixture issue if its starting and idling, but stalling when being revved. If its still doing it with the air box off check your fuel lines aren't block and the pumps working and have a fiddle with the needle, i have found its quite hard to make things worse so just have a play around, good way to learn!

I would also check the dizzy cap, rotor arm, and ht leads. A coked up rotor arm or a dodgy ht lead could be causing it to missfire under load.

Does it rev up ok with the choke out?

Personally I would give the carb a strip and clean, then give the ignition system a good check over.

Check the points in the dizzy, the contact surface should be clean and smooth and the gap should be set to .4 to .5mm

New points and a condensor are always a good things to fit when you get a 410 as they are cheap and you never know how old the ones fitted are.

Where in the country are you? Might be a member local to you who'll be willing to pop over for a look.

Has this just happened in the recent cold weather?

It may be as simple as your air box is still set on summer or more likely the aluminium duct that draws hot air of the exhaust is split/missing and as a consequence is pulling cold air into the carb and "icing" the fuel. I would check that before doing anything else. 410's will not run in winter without the hot air. To be honest 410 carbs are very reliable, never had trouble with one yet, apart from the icing problem which is not the fault of the carb. LJ carbs are even worse and very unreliable, which is why I used to fit SJ carbs to my LJ,s.
