Ahhh I just scraped a 1.3 fuel injection sj engine which needed a new head gasket :( but I had no space for it plus I wasn't going to put that in my sj as mine goes better than a 1.6 vitara with 30" tyres :)

Ye well I got it for free anyway I was going to convert it to carbs but I don't need any more power tbh its ideal for greenlaning and I'm happy with it on.the road

Mine struggles a bit to pull away with 31's so I'd like to go 1.3 injection for more power and fit 413 axles as they're stronger and should make the gearing better...

Only thing stronger in 413 axles is the CVs, the 413 shafts and cvs drop into 410 axles anyway, I'd just stick to 410 axles, the gearing is better.

I used to beat the shit out of my 410 axles, only ever broke a few CVs, and that was on 33s with the doubler and a 1.6.

Ahh right okay, so a 1.3 with 410 aw will be fine then? What about top end? Doing say 60mph wouldn't the engine be revving its nuts off? Lol

Changing the diffs won't make much difference to that. If you really want to up-ratio it you'd want I think Sammi axles, Sammi t-box and a 413 5-speed box
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Look at the smart brabus/colt czt engine
I have a colt czt 1.5 mivec turbo will rev up to 8k
Running 200bhp
And 3.2 v6 audi tt cant keep up with it
Put that lump into something that weighs even less would be insane
