Nice one :smokin:

A great feeling isn't it?

I bet your well chuffed, especially as you've rebuilt the engine too.

Sounds a happy engine. It'll appreciate a bit more back pressure I think but it sounds like it's pretty well tuned already. Picks up nice from idle.

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

so I've ran it a few times, and always saw just the slightest wisp of smoke, and today I saw it came from the rocker cover breather. is this normal as it's not yet run in, or this not a good sign.
If I point the breather into the carb, the idle drops by about 100-150 revs

The revs drop because the engine is sucking air in through the port where the breather should be. As for the slight whisps of smoke, I imagine it's oil vapour. Nothing sounds out of order to me.

There will always be a bit of vapour/combustion gases in the crank case.

that's good to know.

don't think so, because the carb has no filter of any sorts on it, just sucks straight out of the air

btw, it's only temporary without a filter
