when m.o.t being done do you need ignition barrel wiv key for on road use or can i just use push start?? cheers chaps :er:

Officially you need a steering lock, but mine hasn't got one and never has had in the time I've owned it. It does have a key now and barrel, but it used to just have a push button start, and it didn't get questioned.

I suppose it all depends on how keen the tester is.

The man who does my not has told me that as of this year I should have a working steering lock and the key shouldnt be removable while the engine is running, unless I haven't got an ignition barrel then it doesn't matter as he can't test it
