So ive been offered a 8v lump but
Its from a x reg vitara.
So my quick question is did anything change over the years
That would make later engines no use?
From my understanding the basic block and head
Stayed the same from the carbd early vits to the gv1600 8vs.

If it's a g series then I think the blocks are the same, are you looking at going injection? The 8v and 16v heads are different, will both fit the g series blocks but 8v and 16v inlet and exhaust manifolds are not interchangeable...

Any 8v G series is all good. You just need the electric pump for SPI ones.

An X-reg 8V would be a 4U2 engine, a 1.6 GV had the 16V engine.
