Sidelight bulb holders in headlights, anyone done this?

So I'm removing my bullbar at some point and want to know if anyone else has drilled a hole in the back of the headlight a pushed a side light bulb holder onthe back of the headlight?

Is it legal? Or do I need the ones off eBay that already have the holes for sidelights?

if it were me id just buy the halogen upgrade lamps, not to expensive and you can fit better bulbs. just what id do, drilling and moving the holder is possible but the new lamps are easier and better.

ive mounted my side lights and indicators on the bull bar for the time being.

Yes I have . Ill find a link shortly i also used sami/vit side repeaters in the chassis

I had contemplated mounting the indicator bulbs in the lights.
But had sami ones kicking around.

ive already ordered the bulb holders with bulbs, just wanted to know if anyone else had done it, ive seen the halogen headlights with sidelights build in and plan on getting a pair of them when ive got some spare money, the bulb holders are a cheap just for now sort of job

ive got halogen conversion bulbs in my SJ headlights so im already running halogens

ive ordered some flush fit indicators to fit in the headlight surrounds or front of the wing, not sure yet...

I can't see any reason why youd need to change the lights after tbh

Youve swaped to halogens and put the sides in.
Would there be much difference in the new ones?

I drilled and fitted sidelight bulbs into four spotlights on an HGV roof bar. Still working fine

well if they have any problems then ill buy some new ones but aslong as these sidelight bulb holders will work and are okay for MOT then it should be fine...
