Post by Famerbennie » Sun Jan 05, 2014 7:44 pm

Hi All Is There Anyway Of Getting More Power Out Of The Standard 1300?

I've Got A Motorbike Race Can As A Back Box But Feel It Could Do With More Poke At Times

There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

1.6 is usually the cheapest option, you can get the same power from a tuned 1.3 but it will cost a fair bit and won't have the torque.

a larger diameter exhaust (front to back) may help... not sure exactly how restricted the 1.3 is by the exhaust size... but when you've got a 1.6 and go from standard pea shooter exhaust to 2" diameter its rather noticeable!
