Of course, it’s not strong by SJ standards, and my uncle did manage to disintegrate one going too fast over a hump back bridge, but they are stronger than their reputation... the fibre glass round the nose is a couple of inches thick. They don’t take to trees as well as an SJ though... I have hit trees in both. The main danger is their flammability... they burn very easily, and mine was constantly spring fuel leaks. Yes, high top end speeds where not done regularly, as anything over 80 gets terrifying. Actually 50 mph doesn’t feel all that safe or that matter.
