Thieving b******s

Post by Sj410red » Thu Jan 16, 2014 11:23 pm

Was awakened this morning at 3.30 am by a policeman asking if I owned a Suzuki sj, of which I replied yes I did, cos at this moment I assumed the worst! It was gone from drive. Copper said its half mile down road and offer to take me to it and to tow it back. So we got to it and it looked intact and straight but steering lock broken along with the barrel and it was completely dead. So they towed me back and I left it till this morning, everything inside was ok and still there, some tools and bits so alls good apart from ignition barrel, so I removed what was left of it and unplugged it, which is where they must of hotwired it as the connections were exposed from the plug, I put some power in battery and starter is fried, removed it, opened it up, completely melted and siezed, they couldn't of hotwire it properly thankfully and left the starter running and must been engaged the whole time and siezed it and stalled engine, so they abandoned it, to my luck, so got sort starter and new switches. But least I still got it and it's not wrecked.

Lucky for you that they were even more incompetent than your usual thieving morons.
There's three ways of doing things:

The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Bastards! I've got a full face disklok on mine mainly as a deterant, but it stops people from being able to just remove the wheel, and an alarm system with immobiliser and shock sensor and an extremely loud siren under the bonnet, no one has set it off yet though

Thanks for your comments chaps, the ignition was playing up anyways recently, it kept cutting power out completely, no lights, hazards, anything, I had to just wiggle the key while coasting along and it came back to life. So when I fit a new ignition switch I will hide it up under dash and I had plans to fit an isolator keyed switch under bonnet or somewhere. If anyone has got any ideas for a good location for one of these, comments welcome please.

Set of twats, some kids around my end tried to take mine, they broke the door lock, snapped my cheap crook lock off snd broke the ignition/steering lock, luckily my thieves were disturbed by the neighbours so they didn't manage to get it. I'll be honest, it did spoil the hobby for me a bit, the selfish bastards don't want to put the effort in to make their pen truck, they just want to take other peoples hard work and ruin it. I feel for you, it's horrible feeling
