Dashboard Installtion
Hi everyone, I'm after some advice. I'm trying to re-fit my dashboard but am having some problems. I've got the four screws in at each end as well as the cross member screws but the three along that run along top are no where near ! The holes are all in line but it would need the dash to drop about an inch and a half for the screws to be able to screw in. Am I being a complete plonker and doing something obvious wrong ? Oh and it's not wired up at all either. Thanks in advance.

I've never had a dash out, but could you remove the screws you've put in. Then aim to fit the problem ones first. This might miracously line up some new holes for the ones already fitted.

Thanks for your quick response, I tried that but the problem still lays. It's weird as either way I do it, not all of the holes in the dash line up with the threads on the body simultaneously :s

Ah yes forgot to say, it's a Sammi dash. Here are some photo's so you can get a better idea. A lot of head scratching has been going on trying to figure out where the problem lies, tell you what I'll be bald by the time it's up and on the road I was thinking about bending the piece of metal up to the holes in the dash but I shouldn't have to as I can't think of how it would of got bent out of place to begin with

Re: Dashboard Installtion
I had a look at mine on Saturday, and even took some photos for you, but I don't think they are much help as I've a roll cage fitted, and it's a soft top so has the window fold down clips in the way.
Your third photo showing under the dash with the metal strap looks just like mine. The side shot showing the air vent looks the same as far as I can tell, and the fact the side of the dash is parallel to the body make me scratch my head too.
Can you take a pic from further out to show how it fits within the car?

Re: Dashboard Installtion
I've had my dash out a few times. Every time I put it back, it doesn't feel like it's going to fit, then after much shuffling it kind of just drops into place.
I know that probably isn't a great deal of help but I normally find that the fitment issues are caused by the top of the dash not being properly seated at the edge nearest the windscreen. Check that none of the loom/air ducting or anything else under the dash is catching and pushing it out of place, I often find that the ducts can be particularly annoying to get located correctly but maybe that's just me.
Mine is a 413 dash in a 410 so maybe someone else can confirm whether or not the Sammy dash will fit the same?
