Why had the axle saddles gone like this

Look at it and the axle saddles have gone like this they where alright when I chaned the springs about 2 mounths ago

So I will take of axle next Sunday as I have a week of college and I can walk to work will inbestigate the situation and go from there migtbend out put a layer of weld on it and go from there if not cut off and make a set of new saddles or even better use the spare Spanish rear axle casing as if has good spoa saddles as I hae just looked

Is it actually bent or has the axle just turned slightly?

I would guess the u bolts weren't tight enough and it's caused slight axle wrap.

Is that the front or back?

It the rear axle

I will tighten the u bolts and go from there I have a spare axle casing so I might swap it over

I would guess that the bolts weren't tightened enough or were over tightened and stretched a little.
