yea, they're Philips, not pozi drive. they tend to push the drive bit out when torque is applied, hence why I replaced them with allen screws

They are supposed to push the drive out when over-torqued the head is designed that way, a Pozi-drive is designed to grip harder. Personally I've never found the countersunk Allen heads to much of an improvement.
