relocate gas tank

relocate gas tank

Hi guys

has anyone relocate the gas tank to put it in the middle? or even a full skid plate?, i hate when it looks on the side of the car

not sure about putting it in the middle, as the exhaust comes down the other side, but with a bit of cutting and welding of brackets im sure its possible. Regarding full skid plate there are a couple that have done them, but you really have to make them either easily removable or so one side drops down other wise it becomes a nice little shelf to hold lots of lovely wet mud.

Personally unless you have to move it out of the way to relocate something else I would make a guard and leave it in the stock location. There's not really anywhere else apart from in the back and all that ends up doing is taking up storage space. Only other option is a custom made tank underneath.

I'm with Scottie, make a guard for the stock tank.
There's three ways of doing things:

If you made your own guard you could maybe put a rubber seal around the top of it to sit up against the tank, it would keep most of the mud out ;)

I made my own plate that I will mount at the rear covering from the exhaust to the other side of the fuel tank will post pictures when am finished
