Samurai SJ413 Wheel Arch advice please
Samurai SJ413 Wheel Arch advice please
Hi guys,
last week I picked up my new toy a Samurai SJ413 and it came with some decent chunky off-road tyres. But the problem is for next MOT (which isn't until next year luckily) it will need the arches replaced as the ones on it aren't wide enough and the wheels are ever so slightly sticking out past them.
I heard you can get a set of wide arches for a Land Rover Defender and cut/modify to fit?
Just looking for ideas as to replacing the arches. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

No interest in that mate, I have barely enough room as it is getting it under the garage door lol. Just wider arches are needed for me

the virtual lift doesnt lift the truck at all, its a virtual one, and will give you wider arches.

I used this stuff to make my arch extensions http://www.screwfix.com/p/felt-support- ... tid=234668
Just cut it up and screw it on.
Also have a set of these in the garage waiting to go on http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.ph ... lares.html

thanks for the replies everyone, appreciate it. I will probably go down the defender arches route as i'm not a fan of the look of the extended arches. Will source a decent set somewhere

I prefer the defender arches too but the tyres sticking at a tad shouldn't fail the MOT. My SJ was like that for years and always passed..it's plod that'll do you though!
If it ticks over...leave it
