Big hello from the south
Big hello from the south
Hi Im 17 and been off-roading for 2 years now..got myself a suzuki sj410 Santana and its brilliant i prefer it over any modern car (they cant do what i can), its got reverse shackle lift, rock-lobster gearbox, winch bumper, rear disk conversion, offset alloys and chunky tires and a lot more.
I'm trying to turn it into a pickup properly instead of the wooden back its got now, any tips would be most grateful.
will add picture soon....

hi there mate, sounds like you have a very capable off roader there!
could i ask what offset alloy wheels you are using?
theres lots of different ways of doing a pick up conversion. this is my mates zook we converted from a soft top to a pick up simply using a massive sheet of chequer plate and then boxed in around the arches and on the bed.
sorry for the bad picture i cant find any of his car when were not off roading.
cheers

Hello and welcome.
Best thing to do is get a rear door from a hardtop. Ive got one hear ready to weld into a soft top if your interested.

Re: Big hello from the south
didn't realize there were any fellow Brighton people on here! I live in Brighton about 6 months a year as I attend the university. I don't have my anus here though, as I'm from Guernsey in the Channel Islands so it gets expensive bring it back and forth each term :/muddy kev wrote:hi, where abouts in the south r u? i'm in brighton and reg go to picadilly wood, slindon and boxgrove.

If you've ever got a spare seat in your anus when you go off-roading, let me know, would love to come along! Also I'd like to say I'm quite handy with the old camera My Flickr!, and would definitely bring it along and get plenty of pics!

hi, don't normally have spare seats as there is always some 1 wanting to come with us, 1 of my friends as been trying to get out with us for about 6months! some times we take a 4x4 to kill it b4 scrap. (not any sj's though) then some times have spare seats. i'll post on here when a ride is available.

Re: Big hello from the south
hi again, dont really know what offset the wheels are ( not alot i could imagine)...but i put wheel spacers on there as well so that spreds it out a bit more. I live in the reading area does any1 know of any green lanes in this area?
