Has anyone tried or know of these?
It sounds an interesting idea, simple and adjusts to suit tyre out of balance if you loose a "chunk" of tread.

I have seen videos and reports of people successfully doing this with 6mm BBs. My only concern would be the BBs wearing the tyre from the inside out. Highly unlikely I know but the inside isn't designed to withstand any kind of wear

But won't the wear bit be the same for any media that is put inside a tyre?

Yeah. Its probably fine.
I have unbalanced 33s at the moment that don't seem to cause any bother.
