Would like some help regarding the drivers side door window trim on my Vitara, its a 1998 LWB model and its the rubber trim at the the bottom of the window frame, just above the door handle its starting too split i would assume from the metal inside the strip.it still works fine and its no problems but about 2inches of it stick up a little and is bloody annoying me.
So is this a big job too replace as in pulling all the interior door fixtures off and then replacing it or is it just a case of easing out the old strip and sliding down the new one abut i cannot see how it fits on with clips i think.
Can anyone help me on what is required on replacing this strip please.
Many thanks

I'm pretty sure, if you can get replacements, it'll be a pretty easy job. Depending on which bit, it might be a case of just rolling the window down or possibly fetching the door trim off. Mightn't need to take it all the way off either.
Got any pictures?

There's three ways of doing things:
The right way,
The wrong way
And my way, which is like the wrong way but faster.

Thanks for your reply,i may look at getting some 2 part resin glue over the weekend and try that, about 2 weeks back a part of the lower door trim came off,i used the resin glue and its perfect.
Did try it again last week end but instead of using the general all purpose version i used the steel version and it did not work, just hope they have some of the all purpose glue back in again as that was very good stuff and cheap as well.
Its just annoying and spoils the look of the window surround.

Job appears to be done,i bought the right type of 2 pack resin glue and then mixed it up and it looks as if it done the job. It's a 100 times better than what it was and i can live with it,as i doubt that i would find the parts for it and even if i did i guess they would cost a fortune.
