Gear box fill plug

Hi Guys,

I recently bought my first Suzuki Jimny, a 2003 soft top with a g13bb engine put together down in Andalusia, I have done a bit of servicing work on it but embarrassingly I cant for the life of me find the Gear Box Filler, I can find the drain and I can see it on diagrams but I cant for the life of me find it in the flesh, any advice?

Isn't it about half way down the side of the box?

This then sets the oil level when filling it?

I'm sure Darrell will be along soon with a very nice picture.

Yes it is apparently, but I just cant see it, I believe the oil level is to the bottom of the fill hole but its a bugger to find

Looks a sod to get at. Even on an SJ it's easiest to use one of these little pumps to fill it.

I'm not sure if this is exactly the same box, but I think this is the plug in the red circle.

Is it just full of crud in the 3/8" square hole?

I bet that's what it is the square hole is full of gunk, thanks very much for the pics, I think that's going to make it easier, I will try again tomorrow.
