Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Just won a winch on ebay, off to pick that up next week. So the new front bumper will incorporate some kind of plate for the winch to attach. Oh and some bucket seats too!

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Not really part of the build thread but this is what I helped my mate with...back breaking work but it pays for him working on the Vit!

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Made up the rear door card and plonked the speakers in. Makes quite a difference, it's a lot quieter with the stereo off and MUCH louder when on! I will cover it in some fabric, thinking blue and grey camo.
The winch may be mounted to the roll cage and fed out through the tailgate...having a think about that one.

It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Jordi got it, 3500lbs, just enough to give me a bit of help if I drive into something I can't get out of! It's just for emergencies, the front will have a much bigger one on it.
Used an old soft top and covered the speaker unit with it.

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Picked up my seats from Andy yesterday...got the cover off of one and I'm just going to sew in knew bits where all the tears are...cut out the old panels and use them as templates for the fresh material. I want to keep the colours the same but I can't seem to find anyone that sells any fabric like it.

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Its normally quite easy to pull yourself back the way you came so like you said that winch will probably just help it back if needs be.

Re: the no dosh Vitara revamp
Indeedy.
Put on some spot lights today...the Vit looks like Mickey Mouse now but when I've made up some covers they should look better. If not then they will go on the front (when the bumper is done) and I'll put four little ones on the roll bar instead!
Note the wiring kit for dummies....
