OBD2
OBD2
Hi Folks,
wonder if anyone can shed a bit of light on this slight problem, I have 2 codes coming up on my OBD" reader Po135 which I believe is the Lambda sensor in the exhaust manifold and another more baffling one which just reads N/A.
I have a very cheap and basic reader and I am guessing that the OBD2 is sending a fault that the reader can not translate unless anyone knows better.
My Jimny is a 2003 Andalucian job with a G13BB.
PS Does anyone know how difficult it is to swap the motor for a G16BB?

Re: OBD2
Did you reset your codes before taking the readings? and if so have you been for a drive since doing so? I dont know anything about the jimny in particular im afraid but i had a similar issue with my dads C4, where i had 1 n/a code just because the car needed driving before scanning for error codes.

if you can read this you're too close to the monitor, sit back and save your eyes!!

Re: OBD2
Try another tool, most code readers will report a code even if its not an OBD2 mandated code. The list of enhanced codes is in the FSM.
G16B swap is fairly straightforward, have a look on Auszookers, there are a couple of threads there.

Re: OBD2
If you reset the codes first then you won't be able to read them unless /until they reoccur. If a particular monitor has not completed then the ECU should report 'Not ready' rather than n/a.timwilks13 wrote:Did you reset your codes before taking the readings? and if so have you been for a drive since doing so? Ah well, as I've said before my knowledge of sci-fi starts and stops with Red Dwarf.
