Powertrax Lock Right done WRONG

Post by tomread47 » Wed Jun 11, 2014 7:31 pm

hello can anyone help

i was wondering when installing a lock right do i leave the 2 small pinion shafts out and just have the large one in ?

as it is making really loud clanking noises inbetween the clicking noises they described it should do ?

Sounds very similar to when I first fitted mine. I thought a half shaft was going to snap.

I had a chat with Mike myself, pulled it in bits and sussed it out. I recall it needed 0.25mm machining off two faces of the diff carrier. Luckily my son was able to do it at work.

It's the dogs danglies now.

I will have a look at the instructions I have, and see if I can write something for you that makes sense on what to check. I recall it was a bit tricky and you need some decent engineering measuring equipment.

If it clicks that's fine, as long as you can hack it up and disengage it.

Make a video and send them to me.

This is why I have a professional set my diffs up as its just whitchcraft !!
