Has he seen the light?

Post by donkeychomp » Wed Jul 09, 2014 11:11 pm

A mate came back from his holiday to find his mould encrusted, excuse the swearing, 'range rover' (sorry) looking like this...

He's now bidding on a Vitara on ebay...think he's finally woken up!

Tbh I do actually like old rangies. My dad had a an old 2door 3.5 v8 when I was younger after the lj80, it used to roar with a short side exit exhaust :guns:

Also my first offroading was done in this before I had a license

But I prefer SJs by a long way, so much easier to work on and a lot more capable in 90% of circumstances

Standard Range rovers aren't brilliant... perfect for Clarkson style off roading though.... just put your foot down hahah

Look at the pic theres almost an entire SJ hanging off the back over the wheels

a classic rangie was the first car I drove. I do like em alot but they do have the mind set of most land rovers in which they like to stop working. still, more reliable than the p38 :yuk:

Them up for bargain prices.

A p38 for 1600 quid (4 years ago)
A d plate 90 truck cab mot'd 600 quid  last year!

Iv always liked range rover classics but so unreliable. My mates drove off a 2foot drop/steep descent and rolled and literally lost the roof like a tin can being opened. Honestly just cant beat an sj for all round value.
