Let's see your arches

Post by basher » Sat Jul 12, 2014 10:48 pm

I'm sorting some bits on my brothers sj and i need to find some wider arches as it's running 33s which stick out past the already quite big arch extensions, what does everyone use, I don't want to spend days fitting them just some ones that don't require much fettling and I can attach with rivnutsa mad spray them black, I found a pic on here ages ago of ones I liked but photobucket ain't working and can't find them

Dans truck with "SCUK Dan2k special shit rubber" arch extentions. Just riveted on. They're 33s too.

mine are similar to dans. the virtual lift does take time but you end up with more room for flex.

I've just added flares to the stock 410 arches that are narrower than samurai arches so you will need less of an extension on samurai arches

These are mine, land rover 90 arches I believe. Easy to fit and relatively cheap. But might not be wide enough for you :|

I think when I find some extra funds, I will go down the Land Rover arches route. I made a start on my SJ yesterday and will be needing new arches soon after i've welded up the small rust patches. Luckily it's quite solid and only has a few patches.

There's nothing wrong with admitting some parts of a land rover are useful and pretty good . . . . . . . Albeit the arches are the only thing that ticks those boxes!!!

And I've never come across a Landrover arch waiting to be towed home...
