remove rear half shaft with bearings.......

Thats a good idea!! and looks pretty simple to make... i was thinking to get a big beer can and fill it with concrete and leave a tube in the middle to form the slide hole.. then when it sets drill the end out and use this as the weight for the slide but leaving it in the can for strength... and looks :)

Not sure a can filled with concrete will work, can imagine the concrete will just break up when you use it.

That's what I was thinking and hence why would leave it in the can. Can always try and see I guess. :)
