Lights on dashboard

Hi
I have just purchased an 05 Suzuki Grand Vitara 2005 plate it is a 2 litre TD. After only driving a few miles the engine management light came on and has never gone off. This morning I noticed that when I turned the ignition on my airbag light and ABS light came on they both went off after I took away. Help

All the warning lights will come on with ignition.
However they should go out after a few seconds or on start-up.
I assume it's going to have to have the code read to find out why the engine management light stays on.

I will be contacting garage on Monday to have this done. I just noticed the remains of a bit of Sellotape over engine management light so I hope it's not too serious a fault.

Does not sound all that good,as you hav just bought this motor and its showing all these lights etc,tape sounds like its trying to hide something more sinister.

Hope it was not a private purchase ???
