1.6 8V into SJ

Post by HuwJones » Sat Aug 23, 2014 11:40 pm

Hi guys,
I've got most of the bits to fit a 1.6 engine into my Santana, now it's just a case of putting it together! Hopefully Monday. I still need to get a radiator and a starter motor. I already know where to get a radiator, but my question is, what starter motor do i get? Most referances i see simply say "Skinny starter motor".
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Preferably to the one that they've bought and fitted with no modifications?
Many Thanks
Huw Jones

There's a few different ones that fit. Basically if the motor body is slightly smaller in diameter than the flange it will fit.

If it is the same width as the flange it won't.

I'd definetly not do that! I'd prefer not to use a grinder at all!
