Hi all,
I know my vac adv is not holding pressure as when i suck the pipe, although the advance WORKS and moves inside the dizzy, i am constantly pulling air (will mean a vac leak in the motor as well then). So more than likely there is a pinhole in the diaphragm in the advance. Is there anyway to repair these? The unit looks sealed so i dont think i will be opening it up, but i was thinking maybe to poor some of that poundland style super glue down the vac take off pipe and shake it about in the hope that a drop of it goes over the pin hole and then blow down the vac line to force a bit of glue through the hole and then when it dries hole should be filled? Good idea? or waste of time?
Cheers!

Re: MG410 Vacuum Advance
It might work I suppose!
I don't think the vac advance is under that much suction, but all the same i would probably leave it a good while to dry! Won't take long in the maltese sun

Re: MG410 Vacuum Advance
I'd be tempted to leave it alone. As long as the advance works.
If the glue buggers it up in any way your stuffed without the option of a new one.
I can't see a very small hole allowing enough air through to run lean.

Re: MG410 Vacuum Advance
Yeah tbh you get most of the advance mechanically anyway... I don't run vac advance on mine and its works pretty well

Re: MG410 Vacuum Advance
Cheers lads. I might just block it off then and see if it makes a diff. If not I'll leave it like that.
