Not starting
My SJ410 wont start, battery is fine, brand new on today. fuel pumps working, any ideas what it could be? Apologies in advance as I know literally nothing about the car! Please help lol

by not start do you get ignition lights coming on? does it turn over and just not fire, or does it not turn over at all? wind the window down, lift the bonnet up (keep it out of gear) and when you start it can you hear the starter motor click at all?

Ignition lights come on, doesn't turn over at all. Can't hear a noise when I try start it no. Just the fuel pump clicking

if it was just the starter sticking you would still hear the solenoid clicking i do believe, if you cant hear it click then it might be a wiring issue, or something as simple as the solenoid wire has come off, look at the back of the starter, there should be a thin yellow/black wire coming off it.

between the battery and the engine, look down that gap, there is a black cylinder coming on the side of the engine that sticks into the gear box, thats the starter motor. ill find a picture.

Problem solved, connection going from a wire to the starter!
