Good info guys, thanks. Hmmm no Pugeots here... well the odd one but not much in the way of European cars except Mercs. I was told today by a radiator guy that merc fans blow fast and strong. Checked a BMW fan and it is huge (too big) so cannot see a Merc fan being smaller???

That should do the job, some pictures of the fitting would be good.

UPDATE:
Went to a couple of scrappies but came away empty handed. So in desperation I ordered a Rover 400 fan from http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/avotechltd_zedparts guy who was super helpful.

However, after arranging delivery to the shipper in Hemel that I use to ship stuff out to Cyprus, I checked the shippers website to check the loading/shipping schedule. Guess what? The part will arrive the day after they load the container, so it will be 6 weeks now until I receive the part.

So I am refitting a cheapo (and not very effective) elec fan I have as a spare and praying the ambient temps drop a bit until the Rover fan can be fitted.
