Hello all. New Vitara owner here. Picked up a lovely example 2 weeks ago.
1 owner from new, 42k, full leather, side bars, 2006, 2.0l petrol for a really good price.
So far I am loving it
On closer inspection, the serpentine belt ( belt in engine bay at the front of the car, presumably the serpentine belt?) looks a bit worn/cracked. Should I get this changed, if so, how much am I looking at? Also, is it called the serpentine belt? I don't want to look like a tit when/if I mention it to my local garage?!
Thanks in advance for any help, i'm off to check out the rest of the forum.

Re: Serpentine belt?
if it goes over pulleys on both sides of the belt then its a serpentine.... if not i'd just say its a fanbelt

Welcome to the club.
Don't know about the cost but it shouldn't take very long.
