Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
I know it's a bastard. Might have to get some made or use some universal flexible hose, but that stuff can be total crap. I'm still looking, thanks for trying matey.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
Thanks for the offer, if I can't find any I will certainly take you up on that.
Got cracking today, all new fuel lines done, new fog light (the old one fell off when I glanced at it), started to fix the electrics and was amazed to find fried wiring all over. Someone had put in 100w bulbs and I think that didn't help. Will put in correct 55w ones. Need to find the right orange indicator bulbs, ones I bought are wrong. Cleaned the K&N and noted the carb is an SU, no idea what one though. Got the exhaust off, it has no gasket and is blowing. Didn't help that a total dork had put 9/16 nuts on a 14mm thread, so they have come out and new threads tapped in. The cherry bomb and radiator arrived when I got home so they can go on too. Rocker box gasket will be done when I can think what colour to paint the box. Yellow is not a good choice on this car! Horn is playing up, might have to rewire the whole thing. Engine might be ok, going to flush it and try that before we do the head gasket, and do a compression test as well, though it seems to run fine with no smoke. Both track rod ends need replacing and the brakes need fixing too. With a bit of luck she'll be motable next week.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
HIF38 carb? also it looks like you could use a standard sj410 top radiator hose to replace that horrible thing you got on their now. the shape looks the same as a 410 one at least
It's not a question of how much you spend on your suzuki, but when your money will run out
Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
yes i would say 410 hoses should work...or even a 413 top hose.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
That's a HIF carb of some sort. Probably a 38.
Don't put a 1.3 in it!
Its either a F8 F10 or G16 IMO.

Re: the no dosh LJ revamp
If I had an lj with a f10a engine in, I'd keep it as is, unless I found an L50 engine from an lj50 & in fairness who wouldn't want a 2-stroke engine in a car? Even if it ment worse fuel economy and power? The noise would certainly make up for it!
