Headlight glass

Post by Vitara Tim » Sun Nov 09, 2014 12:16 am

Hi to everyone, this may be a silly question, but can you remove the glass on vitara headlights. As mine have filled with dirt and its now making the headlights dim. I did remove the clips and the glass didn't come off. Is it bounded on or just stuck with dirt. Hope someone can answer this question for me. If it doesn't come off looks like I'll need a pair of headlights. My Vitara is a 1996 SWB if that helps.

I would just fill it with detergent and warm water and let it soak a while. Then shake it all about to get and loose muck off. Then get a rag on the end of something pokey in there.

Thank you all for the replies, just as I thought then they are sealed on. Someone at my work said about washing them out, so ill give that a go first and see if that helps. Thanks donkeychomp if I need one I'll let you know.

No worries, washing them should work fine.
