soft top condensation

Post by mk1joe » Sat Nov 15, 2014 9:07 pm

Hey guys.

Just put a fastback roof on my sj recently and left it out in the open for the first time last week. I went to drive it today and there was so much water on the roof it was like it started raining inside when I started driving.

Has anyone else had this problem, what have you done to resolve it?

Thanks very much
Joe

So it was on the roof and the roof went saggy with all the rain on it? Sounds to me like you haven't fitted the side parts properly, it should be taut all over.
If it ticks over...leave it

Drill some large holes in the floor to let the water out. ( Bad Joke)

Neat washing up liquid buffed/polished up on the inside of the windows really helps to stop condensation!

Yea, it was on top of the roof but also inside. I will try and get it to fit better. The carpets didn't seem to be wet though so I don't think there are any leaks to cause the condensation.

I've got no carpets and every single bung out of the floor. Keeps it nice and airy in there.

Do you still get condensation on the inside of the roof though?
