I drove around with a busted CV for ages ;)
Just because the CV isn't spinning with the wheel doesn't mean it can't lock up slightly and effect the steering, especially of it's actually broken not just clicking.

Ask 4eye, he nearly crashed thanks to a broken CV locking up meaning that he couldn't steer.
Its dangerous and pretty stupid driving around knowing you have a broken CV fitted.

Had another look at it earlier, and found there is excessive play in the ball joint that attaches to the steering box. Im not sure if this is the main problem but it will deffinitely need sorting immediately.

Im under the impression i cant just change the ball joint so i may need to source a replacement bar. I know a sammy one would be longer but are the 413 and the 410 ones the same??

I replaced the steering bar today and it seems to have solved the problem :D .

Thanks to Dan for letting me have his spare, and thanks to Andy for giving it to Dan in the fisrt place.
