Hi Mark!
I was over your side of the border early this month for 3 days (did you hear on the grapevine?) sorry I didn't drop in to say "Merhaba" but you were working and we were walking trails.
Anyway folks I think the answer is stock position - just have to find out where that is again! Here is a useful link

I seen a Sj with a body lift and it is existing in the middle of the sill gone over the chassis rail and has made a hole in the sill looks alright

I don't really seem to get fumes with mine, it just turns off to the side.
That exhaust of yours does look too small, pretty sure the 1.3 exhaust is bigger than that so maybe you have a 410 exhaust fitted? What's the diameter?
